Overview:
MindStream is a psychology resource platform offering structured materials such as worksheets, guides and training content for both individuals and professionals. The project combined calm, supportive design with more advanced functionality behind the scenes, including membership tiers, gated resources and clinician-to-client sharing. The result is a platform that feels simple and approachable to use, while supporting a wide range of content journeys and access needs.

Challenge:
MindStream needed to support two distinct audiences with different needs. Both individuals and professionals access the same core library of resources, but at different levels, with professionals also needing tools to share content with their own clients.
The challenge was to make all of this feel calm, clear and easy to use. Behind the scenes, the platform required careful thinking around user flow, content structure, access control and the different steps involved in discovering, accessing and sharing resources.
Platform Architecture & Functionality:
A large part of the project involved mapping out how users would move through the platform, from browsing resources to accessing content and sharing it with others.
The resource library was built around custom post types and taxonomy-based filtering, making it easier for users to find relevant content across a growing collection. Membership functionality was structured around tiered access, with users accessing different levels of content depending on their subscription.
Resources could be delivered in different ways depending on format, including streaming, in-browser reading and downloadable files. This gave users flexibility while keeping access controlled within the platform.
A custom sharing workflow was developed to allow clinicians to share specific resources with individual clients. This required additional logic around user-specific access, so shared content could appear within a client’s account without affecting overall membership rules.
Branded email touchpoints were designed alongside the platform to support key interactions such as account access and shared-resource notifications.
The Solution:
The platform was designed with a calm, minimal interface inspired by modern wellbeing products. Clear typography, simple layouts and supportive visual styling helped make the experience feel approachable, even where the underlying functionality was more complex.
Alongside the visual design, a lot of thought went into structuring content, shaping user journeys and making sure each part of the experience felt intuitive. The aim was not just to make the platform look good, but to make complex functionality feel easy to navigate.

MindStream delivers a fully functional resource platform that balances simplicity with depth. Users can explore content, access resources in different formats and move through the platform with clarity, while membership controls and custom sharing features work reliably behind the scenes.
The final result is a calm, capable platform with a solid foundation for future growth.
